If you do or if you don't, it doesn't matter, come along to our next Brisbane Tea Meetup to learn more or share your own style with other tea lovers. Gong Fu Cha is sometimes referred to as The Chinese Tea Ceremony and means to prepare tea with great skill. There are many regional and ceremonial styles of Gong Fu Cha. I intend to team up with another tea enthusiast, Andrew, and we will demonstrate one style of Gong Fu Cha that resonates with us (a home-style tea ceremony). We will guide you through some Gong Fu Cha etiquette that applies to both host and attendee. I will bring along the key tea utensils and equipment used during Gong Fu Cha and demonstrate how they are used.

We will share tea the Chinese way (in small tasting and aroma cups) and enjoy multiple infusions from a single tea with each one revealing a new layer of aroma and flavour. We will demonstrate with oolong and pu-er teas this session.

There is no need to bring anything along to this Meetup. All brewing gear and tea will be provided. This has been the most requested Brisbane Tea Meetup event to date so we hope you can make this event. The intention is to follow this up with a series of Meetups where we will share tea and continue the practice of Gong Fu Cha.
