------ Welcome, Bristol R Users! ------
Happy New Year, and welcome to 2026!
We hope you’ve had a restful break and are ready for another great year of coding, learning, and community. We’re excited to kick off 2026 with fresh energy and plenty of R fun ahead!
As before, the event will be brought to you by Datacove. We are a Data and Analytics Consultancy Team based in Brighton, with experience in founding many well-attended R & Python events. Plus, home of the EARL Conference! We work across multiple streams - from marketing and customer analytics, to bespoke dashboards, process automation, and training! :)
We will be supported by the generous team at DeskLodge Bristol.
------ Talk Information ------
Speaker:
Katy Morgan - Data Analytics Specialist, Government Internal Audit Agency (GIAA)
Talk Title:
Streamlining Analysis Reports with R Quarto: How GIAA Achieves Clarity, Consistency and Efficiency
Description:
In this talk, Katy Morgan will share how the Government Internal Audit Agency (GIAA) uses R Quarto to standardise and streamline the production of analytical reports.
She will demonstrate how template scripts, custom colour palettes, and bespoke tables and visualisations have been developed to ensure that reports are consistent, efficient to produce, and tailored to user needs. This approach saves time while enhancing the clarity and professionalism of outputs.
Katy will also discuss how Git and DevOps practices support collaboration and version control, enabling analysts to work together effectively and maintain high-quality standards across projects.
Finally, the session will explore the importance of presenting technical insights in an accessible and engaging way-especially when communicating findings to non-technical stakeholders.
This talk will offer practical, technical insights into how R Quarto can transform reporting workflows, making them more efficient, repeatable, and impactful.
