What we’re about
This meetup is set up for language learners, interested in practising either their Spanish or their English (or both), while socialising and having a good time by chatting with like-minded people. At the events there are no hard rules, but participants are encouraged to switch regularly between English and Spanish so everyone has a chance to practise.

Después del éxito de la primera vez, tengo muchas ganas de volver a veros a todos en el siguiente encuentro mensual del club de lectura en español.
El libro sobre el que vamos a hablar es Como agua para chocolate, de Laura Esquivel. Es una maravillosa novela de amor y drama que sucede en México durante la Revolución Mexicana.
Esta vez nos reuniremos en Casa Latina, y habrá la oportunidad de disfrutar de deliciosa comida latina (arepas and chips, yum!) mientras hablamos del libro.
Las dos únicas normas para asistir son:- Tener un nivel intermedio/alto de español para poder seguir la conversación
- Haber leído el libro entero 😊

After the success of our first meeting, I am looking forward to seeing you all again in our second meeting of the monthly book club in Spanish.
The book we are going to discuss is Como agua para chocolate (Like Water for Chocolate) from Laura Esquivel. It is a wonderful novel about love and drama at the times of the Mexican Revolution.
This time we are going to meet in Casa Latina, Bedminster, so we can enjoy some delicious Latino food while we talk about the book (arepas and chips, yum!)
The only two rules to join the event are: - An intermediate and/or advanced level in Spanish, to be able to follow the conversation.
- You need to have read the whole book! 😊
