This is a loop around the Mendips, taking in the city of Wells as well as several villages along the way.

There will be a stop in Wells for lunch, most likely at one of the pubs, but that can be decided on the day.

There are a few hills on this one, including one especially long climb coming out of Compton Martin (the road is parallel to Harptree Hill). You will need a reasonably good level of fitness for this ride.

Total distance is approximately 67km (42 miles) with 780m climbing.

The meeting point is a free car park next to the church in Churchill (see photo and what3words).

Please respect that we ride in a group and the ride leader has to make decisions on behalf of the group, which should be followed.

The ride leader will stop for catch-ups, at junctions and hills. Please avoid overtaking the leader as this can lead to people getting lost.

Your bike should be recently ridden and in good order. You should bring a spare inner tube for your bike. This is to avoid holding up the rest of the group. There is likely to be someone on the ride who can help mend a puncture, although this is not guaranteed.
