Hiking Lake Manchester

Details

Join us for a hike around Lake Manchester!

White Rock is still closed so we'll do another hike nearby. This is an easy hike as it's completely on fire trails but you'll need enough fitness to walk for about 5 hours (including a break for vegan lunch/snacks). This is a scenic hike with nice views of Lake Manchester.

Some key stats are:

Distance: 16.8 km
Elevation: 448 m

There are also 3 small (about 2-5 metres) ankle deep creek crossings where you may want to take your shoes/socks off if you don't want to walk in wet shoes. More info of the hike is at:

https://www.wikiloc.com/hiking-trails/lake-manchester-circuit-2020-update-57510922

We'll meet at the Lake Manchester day use area (there are toilets here).

Please bring 2-3 litres of water, snacks/lunch. I'll bring a first aid kit, but feel free to bring your own if you have one. There's also a toilet at the trailhead.

Disclaimer: this is an informal get-together for vegan hiking enthusiasts. By attending this event, you acknowledge that you will be responsible for your own safety and well being.
