What we’re about
The Upper Bucks County/Lehigh Valley area has become a hotbed of activity in the beer and wine world in recent years and this group will explore this booming part of our local economy and culture.
There are more than 20 microbreweries in this region and more than 30 wineries. Brewpubs, craft beer bars and wine bars are also fair game for this group. We'll learn about the beer and wine-making process and of course get to sample the fruits of our local entrepreneurs' labors.
Expect monthly meetups, tours, tastings and just hanging out, making new friends and enjoying good times, and maybe some scenic views in the process. Whether you're into beer, wine or both, or just interested in exploring and getting to know the area better, this group is for you.
No dues, fees or cover charges, this is a fun thing for me, not a side hustle.
See you on the trail!

See all- The Lehigh Valley's Oldest Winery: Franklin Hill Vineyards in BangorFranklin Hill Vineyards, Bangor, PA
We'll venture up to the Slate Belt to visit the Lehigh Valley's oldest winery--Franklin Hill Vineyards in Bangor.
Perched on a scenic hillside overlooking the Delaware River Valley, Franklin Hill opened in 1982, its vineyards planted several years before that. It claims to be the Lehigh Valley's oldest winery, though Vynecrest may be older, not sure. Franklin Hill is known for its red and white blends, featuring cabernet franc, cabernet sauvignon, merlot, chambourcin, vidal blanc, cayuga, catawba and more.
They serve their own food (so no snacks, sorry) and there may be some entertainment as well. Limiting this to 20 for now. Should be a great day to kick off the summer season. See you there!
- Downtown Bethlehem Beer and Wine CrawlLost Tavern Brewery, Bethlehem, PA
Downtown Bethlehem was recently named the No. 1 Main Street in the US by USA Today. We'll celebrate with our inaugural Downtown Bethlehem Beer and Wine Crawl.
We'll get things started at Lost Tavern Brewing's Bethlehem Tap Room, which features 17 beers on tap plus local wines. Food is by ClamJam Boil and BBQ. Both are located in the historic Moravian Book Shop, the oldest book store in the US.
From there we'll visit Fegley's Bethlehem Brew Works and Franklin Hill Vineyards' Grape Arbor. All of these places are right on Main Street. Other places may be visited as well. I'll leave it up to the attendees.
Should be a great way to kick off the summer season. Join anywhere along the way. See you there!
