What we’re about
The Upper Bucks County/Lehigh Valley area has become a hotbed of activity in the beer and wine world in recent years and this group will explore this booming part of our local economy and culture.
There are more than 20 microbreweries in this region and more than 30 wineries. Brewpubs, craft beer bars and wine bars are also fair game for this group. We'll learn about the beer and wine-making process and of course get to sample the fruits of our local entrepreneurs' labors.
Expect monthly meetups, tours, tastings and just hanging out, making new friends and enjoying good times, and maybe some scenic views in the process. Whether you're into beer, wine or both, or just interested in exploring and getting to know the area better, this group is for you.
No dues, fees or cover charges, this is a fun thing for me, not a side hustle.
See you on the trail!

New Year's Eve at Award-winning Lost Tavern Brewing in Hellertown
Lost Tavern Brewing, 782 Main St, Hellertown, PA, USWe had a blast at this event last year so we're returning to Lost Tavern Brewing in Hellertown to ring in 2026!
This is Lost Tavern's flagship, production location, a spacious, rustic industrial space that opened in July 2016. The 5000-square foot space, in a building dating to 1927, was originally an automobile garage and has also been a bowling alley and hardware store. Its name pays homage to Wagner's Tavern, the first business of any kind in Hellertown, which first opened in 1746. The tavern closed long ago and its location in Hellertown is lost to history, hence the name of this venue.
They're big on IPAs and fruited sour ales, but usually have a good variety of offerings. Other current beers on tap include a Belgian strong golden ale, a porter, an autumn amber ale and a hard cider. Darts, shuffleboard, dominoes and board games are available if you're into that sort of thing.
As for the New Year's Eve party, tickets are $45 in advance, $50 at the door. That gets you two beers (16-oz pours) or two cocktails, a buffet dinner catered by Old Pappy's BBQ (you get two full passes through the buffet line) and a champagne toast at midnight. Click HERE to buy advance tickets online. The party officially starts at 7, but I set the start time for 8:30 or a half-hour after when the "adults-only" portion of the evening begins. Last year they had a mix of live music and music trivia bingo. I think something similar is planned for this year.
Yes, you can get in without buying a ticket. You'll just have to pay-as-you-go for drinks and skip the BBQ buffet. There won't be any other food options there and you can't order or bring food in so eat ahead of time.
See you there as we ring in 2026!20 attendees
