The Wall of Awful, coined by Brendan Mahan, MEd, MS, doesn't just explain why we ADHDers so often have trouble getting started, it makes that invisible struggle visible.
Brendan will join Buxmont CHADD to give us an exclusive sneak-peak at his new book, "Overcoming the Wall of Awful", coming out September 1st from Balance/Hachette.
He will discuss:

  • The role ADHD and neurodivergence play in our Walls of Awful
  • Strategies to overcome the Wall of Awful in both the long and short-term
  • How Walls of Awful can interact with one another
  • How anxiety affects our Walls of Awful (and how it affects the brain)
  • Ways to become stronger climbers and ways to make the climb easier
  • How we can manage our anxiety to make getting past our Walls easier
  • Ways to use the Wall of Awful model to communicate better and transition more easily
