Cafe Bakery @Abbotsford Convent Arts & Cafe precinct, then dinner at Lentil

Meet at the Abbotsford Convent Bakery @4pm. for coffe, tea, snack. Will be at outdoor table on the right side - from main entrance head towards front right of bakery cafe. Chris C's ph 0402816644. About 5pm we can walk around around the (former) convent precinct & nearby area. At 5:45 we'll go to Lentil as Anything for dinner ("pay what u feel meal's worth" concept). You can come to the Cafe or Lentil or both

Meetup will go ahead regardless of weather. If raining, meet in the gallery & cafe, near the bakery, that is in main convent building.

After coffee, snack, etc there are many options:
We can walk & explore around the complex & gardens or a nearby walking trail, or enjoy a drink at the Boiler Room Bar. We can then have dinner & second hot beverage at Lentil As Anything.

Plenty of outdoor, & indoor options (if poor weather), including Lentil as Anything (pay what u feel concept), Kappaya, Steve's House, Boiler room. May break into smaller groups if inside.

Getting there: Train: Victoria Park station (South Morang/Hurstbridge lines). Get this train from Platform 1 from Flinders St & City Loop stations. Then Bus: #200 or #201 along Johnston st. Or walk which takes 15 minutes.
Bus: Busfrom the city with same route numbers travels along Lonsdale st, then Russell st, Lygon St, Johnston St.

Bus Stop for Abbotsford Convent: Clarke St (there's a pedestrian bridge over Johnston St next to Clarke st.) Walk along Clarke St to St Heliers St. Walk down St Heliers St, to Abbotsford Convent entrance.

At Abbotsford Convent free parking on nearby streets (2 hour areas & some unlimited), or pay parking $6 flat rate, opposite convent (though free it's difficult getting car spot on St Heliers st). More info below.

Parking: Some of St Heliers St is unrestricted. But difficult to get a space. Clarke st, & one or two other streets, past the convent has unrestricted parking. Transport. Bus stop on Johnston St is near Clarke st which is just before Johnston st becomes a bridge over the Yarra.

This meetup will go ahead regardless of weather. If it's raining heavily we will meet @4:00 in the gallery & cafe in main convent building to the right of the bakery cafe, & then likely go to Lentil a bit earlier

Hope to be at tables to the right in front of the cafe, but they don't like reserving outdoor tables, so you may need to look around. Will try to have a sign or something so you can find us
