We’re thrilled to be back in San Francisco for this year’s Studio Edition Workshop — in a new space: The Creators Studio. This 330 sq ft studio is located inside a historic industrial warehouse, flooded with natural light and framed by stunning 13’ windows that overlook the Bay. The space offers endless creative possibilities.

This year’s workshop will feature two male dance artists, to be announced soon via @thedancephotographyworkshop on Instagram.

Workshop Format:

• Photographers will be introduced to the dancers through a series of creative exercises, including: action shots, balances and poses, jumps, free movement and improvisation.

• Each photographer will then have the opportunity to work one-on-one with the dancer(s) of their choice, leading their own segment. This is a unique chance to explore your artistic vision with the support of a movement director.

• During individual sessions, other photographers are welcome to shoot — as long as it’s done without disruption.
