Community Corner with Roses in The Ocean
Details
Sometimes what helps most is finding someone who gets it.
Roses in the Ocean is setting up a Community Corner at Libraries ACT — a free, relaxed drop-in where you can come and have a chat, pick up information, or find out what peer support options are available in Canberra.
There is no registration, no need to share your story, and no pressure to stay. You can drop by for five minutes or sit for a while. Whatever feels right.
You might find it useful if you have been through a difficult time yourself, if someone you love has been struggling, if you have lost someone to suicide, if you feel disconnected or isolated, if you are new to Canberra and still finding your feet, or if you are curious about volunteering with a lived experience organisation.
Our team can chat with you about the Peer CARE Companion in Community program, the Peer CARE Companion Warmline, community connection activities like walks and coffee catch-ups, and how to get involved as a volunteer.
Look for the Roses in the Ocean table. Everyone is welcome.
