What we’re about
We love machine intelligence and deep learning. There have been exciting developments in the field. From human-level translating, transcribing audio, recognising objects, to composing music, and general-domain reinforcement learning, a lot of stuff has been happening in the field. We are passionate about learning and sharing the knowledge in the community by hosting regular paper reading sessions and other events.
A big thanks to Si Pham, who set up a discord server for our discussion: https://discord.com/invite/SpqXbwKw
As a Canberra-based community, we look forward to collaborating with local researchers, organisers, and businesses owners.
To our sponsors:
Thanks to Trellis Data, we have a regular gathering place. They are all about deep learning, and are bringing the best Australian deep learning research into the government and everyday life.

Join us for a discussion on the survey paper A Survey on Large Language Model based Autonomous Agents by Lei Wang et al. .
This comprehensive review delves into the burgeoning field of LLM-based autonomous agents, offering a holistic perspective on their construction, applications, and evaluation strategies.
The paper introduces a unified framework that encapsulates the core components of LLM-based agents, including modules for profiling, memory, planning, and action. It explores diverse applications across social sciences, natural sciences, and engineering, highlighting how these agents are being utilized in various domains. Additionally, the survey examines both subjective and objective evaluation methods, providing insights into the challenges and future directions of this rapidly evolving field.References:
