Sunday Parliamentary triangle walk - history, politics and art
Details
Who says you can't enjoy art and culture with your dog? This is a really cool walk taking in the highlights of Canberra's Parliamentary Triangle. We'll explore the pretty inner gardens of Old Parliament House; get up close to the NGA's best sculptures; and stroll along the edge of Lake Burley Griffin with views across to the War Memorial.
The walk starts and finishes at the National Library where we can access easy pay parking and dog-friendly café tables if you'd like to stay after the walk for coffee/breakfast.
This is an on-leash only walk, but there's lots of variety and interest for dogs and their humans.
The whole route is fairly flat, approx 4 km and with a group completed in around 90 minutes, but allow up to 2 hours in case we dawdle around the sculpture garden.
Important info:
