Join us for our very first Canberra Horror Hang Outs event, a relaxed daytime picnic with a spooky twist!
We’re kicking things off with a casual outdoor catch-up where horror fans can meet, chat, snack, and test their knowledge with some light-hearted horror trivia. Think creepy classics, modern scares, pop-culture moments, and a few fun curveballs. Nothing too serious, and no encyclopaedic knowledge required.
What to expect:
- A friendly picnic atmosphere
- Horror trivia played just for fun
- Plenty of time to socialise and get to know fellow horror fans
- A welcoming mix of movie lovers, book lovers, and general spooky enthusiasts
What to bring:
- Your own picnic food and drinks
- A blanket or chair if you’d like
- Sunscreen, water, and weather-appropriate gear
- Your love of horror (expertise optional!)
This event is designed to be approachable and inclusive, whether you’re already part of Canberra Horror Movie Group or Canberra Horror Book Club, or completely new and curious. It’s a great chance to put faces to names and help shape what Canberra Horror Hang Outs becomes.
No jump scares, no gore — just good company, a bit of spooky fun, and the start of a new horror-loving community.
