Let's spend a few hours helping our community by volunteering through the Oregon Food Bank. Join us!

The project depends on the needs of the Oregon Food Bank Network. Volunteer shifts can include multiple projects, including, but not limited to:

• Sort canned and boxed food donations into categories
• Repack and label bulk food items into family-size portions
• Cull and sort produce
• The length of a shift is directly related to the amount of food received.

The 3:30 pm end time is the latest the shift will go, but may end earlier.

About the Oregon Food Bank:
The mission of the Oregon Food Bank is to to eliminate hunger and its root causes… because no one should be hungry.

This includes:
Provide access to nutritious food for all. We collect and distribute food across Oregon and Southwest Washington, helping ensure free food is available to everyone experiencing food insecurity — especially those disproportionately harmed by unfair systems rooted in racism, classism and sexism.

Build community power to eliminate hunger and its root causes for good. Our work to address the root causes of hunger amplifies community voices and grows grassroots power. We are building a movement that brings together communities, volunteers, advocates and donors to raise our voices for real change.
Locations

Work across systems and within our network. Ending hunger means breaking down barriers that prevent equal access to housing, health care, employment and more. We partner with people and organizations across Oregon and southwest Washington to do this critical work together.

From Oregon Food Bank’s five main locations, we distribute food equitably across the region and work on policies and programs to address the root causes of hunger.

Join us for our next dinner gathering at China Wind Restaurant (華風酒家) in SE Portland. (8355 SE Powell Blvd, Portland, OR 97266)

We're going to mix it up a bit and schedule this for mid-week. Our dinner meet ups are a great way for you to make new friends and explore new places around the PDX Metro Area.

Located just a few blocks off 82nd Ave near the Jade District, China Wind is a casual spot serving traditional Cantonese fare.

Come support our local Chinese community. Our reservation is for up to 16 people.

FYI - For our dinner meet ups, each person picks a dish that everyone shares, and then we split the check evenly between everyone who attends.
