The lives of book people: Booksellers, librarians, publicists and writers

Details
Dear bookologists,
If you are anything remotely like me, you are acutely aware that the Penguin Publishing House is in Century City, not too far from the Curro school and are positively certain that it must be a magical place. In fact, absolutely certain. It is a dream of many people to work with books either within a bookshop recommending little gems to strangers or as a writer telling gripping stories, or perhaps best of all working in publishing and ensuring that these stories get sent out to the world.
So this month, I challenge all of our readers to go out and pick up a book that has to deal in some small way around people whose vocations are based around the art of reading or creating books. This can be something as fanciful as the Midnight Library by Matt Haig or something more grounded in everyday life like the Korean sensation 'Welcome to the Hyunam Dong Bookshop' by Hwang Bo Reum.
As a note to members attending for the first time, we do have a R75.00 annual fee that must be paid prior to attending for your first MeetUp of the year.
Sincerely,
Celestine
