I am planning a new tour in 2026 based at a cattle station 2 1/2 hours North of Perth. I wanted to share it with the Meetup Group before I launch it to my website. The Station has private access to the Painted Desert which is the part of Nambung National Park. This area has sand dunes which are constantly shifting which means that the Pinnacles in this area appear for awhile and disappear again. The sand varies in colour from yellow to white and the wind blows the sand giving beautiful textures around the rock formations all which lend itself to beautiful photo opportunities.
We will visit the dunes in early morning and late afternoon light plus spend time in the bush for wildflower macro photography. There is also plenty of bird life and animals to photograph including Emus and Kangaroo.
This is a dark sky location and although the centre of the milky way is over the horizon in November there will be enough stars for us to photograph.
As this is a trail run, the cost will be much less than it will be once it finalised. There will be a variety of options on pricing as it will depend on if you travel with me, self drive, stay in a shared onsite caravan or bring camping gear etc. Please note that the onsite caravan are clean but basic. They do not have bathrooms but the campsite facilities are nearby.
Please RSVP below so that we can start a conversation on what's happening and your options.
