- Iboga for Addiction RecoveryDrop Thesis, Bend, OR
Join us for a talk with Erik Lowry as he shares his personal journey through an iboga retreat. Iboga is a powerful psychoactive root bark used for centuries in the Bwiti spiritual tradition of Central Africa for healing, initiation, and connection to ancestral wisdom. Today, it is gaining recognition for its unique ability to interrupt addiction, restore balance to the nervous system, and catalyze deep personal transformation.
Erik will describe what the retreat experience was like, what he learned about the science and spirit of iboga, and how this sacred medicine is being used around the world to help people break free from addiction. This event is ideal for those curious about psychedelic therapy, spiritual healing, or addiction recovery through plant medicine.
Co-facilitator: Michael "Mikey" Sagaert is a Death Doula and counseling graduate student who has walked his own path of healing through psychedelic experiences tending to addiction, particularly with LSD. He has witnessed powerful transformations in clients navigating addiction and recovery, and brings deep compassion to those journeys. Mikey holds space with warmth and openness, inviting others to explore their own stories in a safe and supportive way.

- Women's Psychedelic Book ClubDrop Thesis, Bend, OR
The current book is Merlin Stone’s classic When God Was a Woman. We will discuss a chapter at a time over a series of gatherings.
How did the shift from matriarchy to patriarchy come about? In When God Was a Woman, Merlin Stone traces the ancient Goddess traditions, where women once held property, traded, and inherited through their mothers. She documents how myths and religions were rewritten to cast the Goddess as depraved and reveals how these transformations shaped modern gender roles.
We’ll discuss the book and and how psychedelics help us reconnect with the divine feminine. This is a space for women to reflect, share, and integrate whether you’ve read the whole book or just a chapter.
We support ordering a copy from Dudley's Book Shop in Bend.
