Day Hike: Lake Anna State Park ~8 miles

Meander though the park. Combination of several trails: sawtooth, glenora, big woods, cedar run, turkey run, and others (not the Gold Mine loop). Meeting up for carpool in Ashland at 9:30 for hitting the trailhead by 10:30. Details will be sent by meetup email day before. Check your site settings.

HIKE DETAILS
Difficulty: Easy but be aware of distance
Hike Distance: 8-9 miles
Elevation Change: +600 - 600 feet
Hike Pace: Moderate 2.0 - 2.5 mph
Terrain:
woodland paths, some boardwalk segments, shoreline loops, and sections that follow old historic features (mills, plantations, mining remnants) some moderate loops involve rolling hills and short steeper segments and shared use

Recommended hiking gear: (Always recommend broken in hiking shoes/boots; poles, backpack with water, snacks, rain gear, sunscreen, insect repellent, basic first aid kit)
Organizer will Provide: very basic first aid and send out additional hike details and carpool location the day before via email.

Dogs Allowed: YES
Bring a snack or lunch for the trail - we will stop and eat/rest in a nice spot. It is typical to contribute $$ to driver to defray the cost of gas prices.
Cancellation: If weather becomes an issue, please check your email or contact the "Adventure Specialist" for this event.

GENERAL DETAILS
RSVPS close THURSDAY NOV. 27th (day before) the event. This provides time for organizer to organize, settle things, and notify all of group plans. Organizer will send a DM Thursday with the carpool location (ASHLAND VA).
Please check your Meetup Site settings so that you get emails from event organizers.
If you cannot sign up it most likely means that event is full, or you + number of guests exceeds max amount, or RSVPs are closed.
