Chalk Connect – August 2025: Intro to Flutter Dev with Tom Fielder

Talks?
Tom Fielder from Switchplane will be talking you through how to set up an app using Flutter.

He'll give a bit of background on Flutter, discuss how you can target multiple platforms (iOS, Android, web, Linux, Windows, Mac) from a single codebase, and will create a basic "hello world" app with you. For those of you inspired to go away and build apps, he'll also help you get your dev environment set up too.

Each session there's the opportunity to do a 10-minute lightning talk.

It's a great opportunity to share projects you are working on and to get feedback and discussion, or if you've found some new tech you're excited about and want to share.
