Midnight Privacy Chain and Glacier Airdrop

Join us for the next Champaign Blockchain Meetup where we’ll explore the Midnight Privacy Chain and its new "Glacier Drop" airdrop. Built by Input Output Global, the same company that launched Cardano, Midnight is a Cardano Partner Chain designed for cross-chain interoperability with Bitcoin, Ethereum, Polkadot, and more.

Midnight enables shielded transactions so that only the sender and recipient can view the details of assets being transferred. However, participants can choose to disclose those details to auditors, regulators, or other third parties by providing a cryptographic proof. This selective transparency approach is aimed at enabling both privacy and compliance within the same framework.

We’ll also discuss how Midnight’s token system works and how to participate in the initial distribution. The network runs on DUST tokens, which are earned by holding NIGHT tokens. NIGHT’s first distribution will take place through the Glacier Drop, which provides free tokens to wallets on multiple blockchains, including Cardano, Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, XRP, BNB, AVAX, and BAT.
