Join us for an uplifting evening of sacred music and sound healing designed to quiet the mind, open the heart, and connect you to the peace within.

We’ll journey together through the ancient practice of kirtan — a form of call-and-response chanting that blends music and mantra to awaken spiritual joy. Kirtan invites us to sing from the heart rather than perform from the mind, creating a beautiful atmosphere of unity and devotion.
You’ll be guided by Brian Sweet (harmonium, vocals), Shane Lasby (guitar, vocals), and William Brandt (sound healing instruments) as they weave together heartfelt chants, soothing sounds, and moments of stillness. The experience includes immersive sound-healing elements, such as singing bowls and the ocean drum.

No singing experience is needed — just an open heart. Singing together naturally activates the vagus nerve, calming the nervous system and promoting a deep sense of relaxation and wellbeing. Many participants describe feeling lighter, more centered, and deeply connected — both inwardly and with the community around them.

Come as you are and allow the power of sound, breath, and shared intention to restore balance and harmony within.

For me, music has become a powerful doorway to the sacred. It’s a kind of medicine for the heart… a way to release, to surrender, and to rediscover the peace and joy within. When I found kirtan and began playing the harmonium, it changed my life. It felt like coming home. Through chanting and sound, I discovered a divine healing that doesn’t come from effort but from allowing. It has helped me release trapped energies, opening my heart for more joy and happiness! I’m excited to share this heartfelt practice with you and pray it will be as lifegiving for you as it has been for me!

William Brandt, [w.brandt@gmail.com](mailto:w.brandt@gmail.com)
I embarked on the path of incorporating sound therapy into my wellness regimen after experiencing burnout and fatigue in my demanding professional IT career. My first sound healing experience left me in awe. I was astounded by the transformative and rejuvenated effects I found, and eventually found myself acquiring my own set of crystal bowls, allowing me to incorporate sound therapy into my regular routine. Combined with Yoga and meditation, I experienced stress relief and began finding it easier to practice mindfulness and embrace the flow of life. I have always prioritized holistic wellness: encompassing the realms of physical, mental, and spiritual health. During a sound therapy session I can’t help but pause, reflect, and breathe deeply.

Shane Lasby
For over two decades, Shane Lasby has shared the spirit of Bhakti through music as a YOGI, guitarist, songwriter, and longtime member of The JAIS. His sound blends traditional Sanskrit mantra with modern, atmospheric textures created through layered guitar effects, inviting listeners into a meditative and heart-opening space. Influenced by Krishna Das, Bhagavan Das, Shyam Das, Trevor Hall, Prema Hara, and others, Shane’s music bridges devotion and contemporary sound. With 25 years of yoga practice and two Yoga Teacher Trainings, his path reflects a deep integration of yoga, music, and spiritual expression. Each performance is an offering—an invitation to awaken the divine within through rhythm, mantra, and sacred sound.
