You and your partner join with another couple in a group of 4. Everyone moves through a series of fun and easy dance moves before moving on to a new couple in the line.
Dance caller Diane Silver describes it:
"You take long lines as seen in English country dances as seen in Pride and Prejudice, put in square dancing moves your learned in school, set it to the driving beat of River Dance, and drop this all in the middle of Woodstock"
We start every dance with a lesson to get you up and dancing in no time!

Charlotte Contra presents Waltz Night, August 11. We had an amazing turnout of enthusiastic dancers for our last 2 waltz events, so we're offering another waltz night! No partner needed!
Who: You and your friends; All are welcome, not just contra dancers!
What: Open Waltzing to Recorded Music - Experienced waltzers will be available to work one-on-one with newcomers or those who need a refresher. Contra dancing has a rich tradition of a waltz or two at the break and the end. It is a lovely way to connect with other dancers. Come on out and learn to waltz or refresh your skills!When: August 11, 2025, 7:00-9:15 PM

How (Much): Free event, but donations are welcome - $5-10 suggested
