Paramount - National Theatre Live

The National Theatre of London films some of its productions and shows them at various locations around the globe, so that all can enjoy having a front row seat to a fabulous play!

And you would be hard pressed to find anything else to enjoy at the Paramount for a lower cost. Let’s meet at Bebedero at 6 pm for some food, then walk up to the Paramount to see the play which starts at 7 pm. This one is called The Fifth Step, and it sounds like it will be just as intensely wonderful as the last two productions we’ve seen!

The play is described as a dark comedy that combines raw, honest dialogue with sharp humor and intense, often menacing, energy. It has been called provocative, challenging, and incredibly entertaining. It tackles alcoholism, the complexities of recovery, faith, masculinity, and the nature of power and authority, especially within a sponsorship relationship that can mimic other dynamics, such as parenthood or priesthood.

Tickets are general admission, and can be purchased either at the door or in advance from the website.
