Observatory Hill Hike Prior to Dunlodge Open House

Let's work up an appetite and hike the Observatory Hill trails prior to the PATC Summer Open House Potluck at Dunlodge Cabin!
UPDATE: We will meet 2 hours prior to the potluck at 2pm in the **parking lot of St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 401 Alderman Rd, Charlottesville, VA 22903.** (NOT at Zehmer Hall Conference Center; parking there is limited due to construction.) From there we'll hike trails around Observatory Hill, a.k.a “O-Hill". This moderate 2-3 mile hike has a 300 foot elevation gain. Your trail leader will share info about the history of UVA and O-Hill while we explore the headwaters of Meadow Creek, all while socializing with others attending the Summer meeting and potluck.
Our hike will finish in time for the PATC Summer Open House Potluck (Meetup info on that is here).
Bring water, clothing appropriate for the weather (raingear always recommended), and an appetite for (or tolerance of) history trivia. :-)
