About us

Chiang Mai Professionals, Expats, and Digital Nomads is a community-focused group dedicated to fostering meaningful connections between local residents, international expats, and digital nomads in Chiang Mai. We organize diverse events designed to encourage interaction, networking, and deep conversations. Our gatherings range from relaxed brunches and business idea exchanges to enriching discussions aimed at building strong, supportive relationships within the community. Everyone interested in creating genuine connections, sharing experiences, or exploring collaboration opportunities is warmly invited to join us.
Our Origin & Mission

The Beginning: Founded in 2022 by Dr. Stefan Rucman to address the lack of community in Chiang Mai, this initiative started as a simple WhatsApp group. The goal was to build an effort-driven project to bridge the missing parts of the city's social fabric.
The Evolution: We have since grown into the longest-running post-COVID community in Chiang Mai. By moving to Meetup, the group expanded rapidly and now spans dozens of dedicated organizers and event creators.
The Vision: We strive to offer something consistent and repeatable in one centralized place—a welcoming environment where professionals, expats, digital nomads, and locals can connect, collaborate, and find their place of belonging.

It's time to break out of the expat bubble and integrate with the local community. Forget the standard, overly polite corporate networking—this evening is about rigorous, authentic conversations, shared ideas, and building a more resilient, combined community in Chiang Mai.
Part 1: Dinner with Locals (6:00 PM)
Hosted by our own Wisut, a local entrepreneur who recently returned from Korea to establish his life and business here. As an amazing host and community builder, Wisut has designed this dinner specifically to bridge the gap between Chiang Mai's nomadic professionals and the local Thai community. Come hungry for great food and intellectually honest discussion.
Part 2: Afterparty at Emotion Club (9:00 PM) At 9:00 PM, the energy shifts as we head to Emotion Club, located near Pantip Plaza. This isn't just another standard nightlife spot; it was explicitly created to turn lonely, disconnected nights into shared, unforgettable experiences. It operates as a community and a safe haven centered on pure energy and raw emotions, entirely free from judgment.
To bypass the usual awkward small talk, the venue uses exclusive "Emotion Stickers" to immediately signal your wavelength for the night. You can wear:

Afterparty Details:

Entry: The entrance fee is 200 baht per person.
Inclusions: Your entry covers one drink of your choice, with options ranging from small local beers to cocktails like Mojitos and Tequila Sunrises, or a glass of wine.
Food: If you're still hungry after dinner, they offer late-night snacks like French Fries or Crispy Chicken Tendons for 120 baht.
