Questions that Matter

Details

With Climate change, political dysfunction, inequality, technological disruption, social fragmentation, etc. - the world can feel pretty broken right now. The scale of these problems can make individual action feel meaningless and collective action feel impossible.
Humans have solved massive, seemingly impossible problems before. We've ended diseases, rebuilt after wars, created systems that work across cultures and continents. The question isn't whether we're capable of making things better - it's whether we can figure out how to do it again, at the speed and scale we need.
For this Weds night’s“ How do make the world a better place,” some example questions we will be using as prompts for the evening are:
1. What's a global problem that genuinely keeps you up at night? Not the abstract stuff - what makes you feel personally helpless or angry?"

## 2. Do we attempt to fix today’s suffering or attempt to redesign tomorrow’s systems?

3. How do we balance 'be the change you want to see' with the reality that at times individual action can feel meaningless?

Our goal with Questions That Matter is to tackle complex issues that don't have easy answers. Each week, we'll dive into one challenging topic using prompts designed to move us beyond surface-level debate toward genuine understanding and possible actionable insights.

Most of us crave deeper conversations in our daily lives. To get there, we need to look at the full picture - honestly acknowledging what's broken while seriously exploring what we might be capable of changing, adjusting, or reimagining together.
Come to “Questions That Matter” ready to share what genuinely concerns you, challenge your own assumptions, and leave with concrete next steps. Whether that means shifting how you think about a problem, connecting with others who share your concerns, or identifying specific ways to create the change you want to see in the world.
After our discussion, we can head out for a meal together. In a world that feels increasingly divided, sharing food remains one of our most fundamental ways of connecting as humans. We hope you'll join us - these conversations often continue over dinner, and some of our best friendships have started exactly this way.
