What we’re about
Chicago Karma Thegsum Chöling (KTC), a Tibetan Buddhist meditation center in Chicago, is a part of the Karma Kagyu lineage under the guidance of His Holiness the 17th Gyalwang Karmapa.
We meet every Sunday morning for practice, which usually includes traditional Tibetan Buddhist sadhanas along with meditation and a short Dharma talk. Newcomers are always welcome, with a short orientation and guided meditation basics available. In addition to weekly practice, we host special events and visiting Kagyu lineage teachers throughout the year.
Our center provides both cushions and chairs, tea and coffee breaks, and English translations for all practice materials. Whether you are new to Tibetan Buddhism or an experienced practitioner, you’ll find community here.
