### New 'Founders Day' Event Celebrates Niles Village History

Niles officials are set to host a new event -- the Founders Day Celebration -- from 3 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, in Golf Mill Park.
The event is a follow-up to last year’s 125th celebration of the village’s founding, also held in Golf Mill Park in mid-August, and is a tribute to the Niles Days of the 1960s and ’70s, Acting Community Engagement & Special Events Coordinator Kristina Vasilic said.
