Holy Aperoly: Starting the after-work party together
On a Friday evening in Spandau's old town, in front of the centuries-old St. Nikolai Church, around 70 people stand in small groups at bar tables, sipping orange-colored drinks, snacking, and chatting. Is it a wedding? An official reception? No, the Protestant Church in Spandau is hosting Holy Aperoly on October 29.

Holy what? Holy Aperoly. Holy because there is a short impulse at the beginning that connects Christian thoughts with everyday life. And Aperoly after the sparkling summer drink Aperol.

It was initiated by vicar Julia Preukschat and city church manager Dominic Riemenschneider. Together with a dedicated team, they are organizing Holy Aperoly at St. Nikolai. The event is inspired by those of the same name in other regional churches and congregations.

Autumn edition
The next Holy Aperoly will be an autumn edition: Together, we will celebrate the middle of the week on October 29. In addition to devotions and drinks, there will be apple pie and autumnal decorations to match the darkening hours.

Wednesday, October 29, 2025, from 6:30 p.m. // St. Nikolai, Reformationsplatz, 13597 Berlin
