Hōga Club friends — Hōga Club friends — let’s gather again for our second outing to a CJFC-hosted screening!
On December 21, we’ll meet up at FACETS to experience Shiver (戦慄せしめよ), a powerful, dialogue-free film featuring the world-renowned taiko ensemble Kodo.
This film is a full sensory journey — rhythm, breath, movement, sound, and silence woven into one. A perfect year-end experience for anyone who loves Japanese arts, music, or experimental cinema.
But that’s not all!
After the screening, we’ll enjoy a live Eisa performance by Chicago Okinawa Kenjinkai, carrying the energy of the film directly into the theater. It’s a rare chance to feel Okinawan drumming and dance up close.
