Cleveland Tea and Coffee Social Meetup

What a lovely way to spend a late Saturday morning into early afternoon! Delicious yet healthy food. Incisive yet relevant conversation. Dazzling people watching. Enthusiastic attendees. A vibe so thick you need a knife. Just try to avoid the downtown Cleveland potholes getting there!

Notes:

1) Goat is not on the menu
2) A tiny lot is connected to the building, but expect to park on the street
3) Bring plastic because these free thinkers may not take cash
4) Be prepared to hear this phrase a lot: "Yeah that's so chill."

The Cleveland Cinematheque is located inside of the Cleveland Institute of Art (not the Cleveland Museum of Art). This is the Cleveland premiere of this 2024 Norwegian film. The preview is linked below as well as found on the Cinematheque website.

We will meet in the lobby area at 4:15 pm which is 15 minutes prior to the screening. I recommend eating a snack before you come, but we will definitely go somewhere afterwards for dinner and to discuss the film.

Also, it is a good idea to purchase your ticket ahead of time online. Please make sure you are buying a ticket for the screening on Saturday, May 31st at 4:30 pm (since it is also playing on Sunday, June 1st).

Free parking is available behind the CIA building in Lot 73 and the annex lot. Both lots should be accessed from E 117th Street off of Euclid Avenue. Please use Entrance C or Entrance A to enter the building.

Let's get some culture!

The HR Star Conference is a human resources conference celebrating its 25th year in NE Ohio, but the topics are applicable for everyone. The photo is from last year's conference.

Normally, you must be an employed HR professional from an organization with hundreds or thousands of employees in order to attend this conference, but this year I am allowing a select few from my Meetup Group to come as well. And the registration fee is waived if you volunteer for an hour or two at the beginning of the day - such as showing exhibitors to their tables in the ballroom, helping out at registration or working with the speakers.

There will be 17 different HR topics plus another 6 sessions in the "bonus rooms" that feature fun topics related to creativity and self care. For instance there will be a meditation class, a workshop on how to live your best life and even a poetry reading by an internationally acclaimed poet.
