Welcome back everyone!

We're looking to kick off the year with a low responsibility meetup idea. There's been so many changes to Ruby & Rails over the past year, let's find some interesting conference videos and do a group watch party.

Proposed Schedule
5:30 - 6pm: Allow time for people to show up and grab some food
6 - 7pm: Open conversation and networking
7pm+: Video watch party

I'd like to dedicate an hour to open, remote friendly conversation. My goal is to help rebuild the network effects we've lost as we've moved our educational material online. I think this the is the most important function our group can foster and I'd like to make it a priority.

We realize that it may be hard to physically attend, especially living in an Ohio winter, so we're also going to try and make each event remote friendly as possible. Open to ideas on how to make that a success!

For the session topic itself, I'd like everyone to try and find a video you find interesting and let us know in the comments. It could be from Rails Conf, SF Ruby, Rails World, or anything else you'd like to share with the class. We'll pick a few to watch as a group and then kick off open conversations afterward.

Food will be provided. I am interested in finding more food sponsors, but we can chat about that during our meeting.

We will share online access information prior to the event.

In the meantime, you can join us in the #clerb channel of the Cleveland Tech Slack for more water cooler conversation.

(clerb stands for Cleveland Ruby)
