New River Trail - Yes it’s open- I checked multiple sources for this route

I just want to pedal out of the sun and I haven't tried my gravel tires out much. Let's meet at New River Trail State Park - Dannelly Fitness Center Access, 1159 Creekview Dr, Galax, VA 24333. I am aiming to roll about 8:30am for casual and pretty 32 miles to Fries and then turn around and come back.
Loveley views, some shade and good company is all that I am looking for. Pack your water and a snack, maybe funds for lunch in Galax after.
