Speaker #1: Ricardo André González Gómez
Session Title: Building Internal Developer Platform (IDP) with Backstage
Session Description: DevOps helped us go faster, but today’s engineering teams need more than pipelines and scripts — they need self-service platforms. We’ll explore how to build an Internal Developer Platform (IDP) using Backstage the open source platform from Spotify, now under the CNCF. We’ll start by breaking down what it takes to get a new app into production: repos, pipelines, Docker, manifests, tests, infra… and how much time and repetition this costs teams. Then we’ll see how Backstage helps platform engineers create a UI that allows one-click scaffolding, standardization, and discoverability, all in a unified developer experience. The talk will be a hands-on, practical walkthrough with live examples, and a fresh perspective on why platform engineering is the evolution of DevOps
Speaker #2: Senthil Kumar
Session Title: From YAML Chaos to Unified Control: Simplifying Kubernetes with KRO
Session Description: Kubernetes offers immense flexibility, but managing complex deployments involving multiple interdependent resources can be daunting. Platform teams often grapple with ensuring consistency, compliance, and ease of use for developers. Enter kro, the Kube Resource Orchestrator, which introduces a Kubernetes-native, cloud-agnostic way to define groupings of resources, streamlining deployment processes and enhancing collaboration between platform and development teams
