Details

We're back! After a COVID-19 related hiatus, events are back and so are we! We have planned a series of events for 2023 which will all run with a particular theme. During this series of events, we'll unpack the keys to success for DevSecOps - All the way from the board down to engineering implementation details.

Special thanks to our Event Sponsors:

  • ServiceNSW - Venue
  • Snyk - Catering

Tickets are limited as the venue holds 80 people, and trust me when I say this: They will go fast. If you grab one of our FREE tickets and are unable to make it, please confirm this with us so we can release your ticket. For our first event for 2023, we start at the top. What is the board level view of DevSecOps? And at a program level, how are team leaders and heads of departments driving success and adoption with DevSecOps?

Speaker 1: Alastair MacGibbon - Chief Strategy Officer - CyberCX
Speaker Bio: Alastair is one of Australia's foremost cyber security leaders, and is the Chief Strategy Officer. Following a 15-year career as a Federal Agent with the Australian Federal Police, where he established Australia's High Tech Crime Centre, Alastair held senior cyber security and safety roles across the private sector.

Alastair has held positions such as Australia's inaugural eSafety Commissioner, before going onto roles as National Cyber Security Advisor, Head of the Australian Cyber Security Centre and Special Advisor to the Prime Minister on Cybersecurity.

Talk Topic: Alastair will provide an exciting lense room to boardroom discussions on DevSecOps, and "Shift Everywhere". Are executives focussed on more traditional offensive and defensive activities, or are they buying into DevSecOps and contemporary approaches to security? What needs to be done to challenge and change thinking?

Speaker 2: Brendan Goode - Chief Security Officer - Commonwealth Bank
Speaker Bio: Brendan is the Chief Security Officer for the Commonwealth Bank of Australia. He is responsible for overseeing the Cyber, Fraud, Resilience and Security Technology / Engineering services across the group.

Prior to joining CBA, Brendan was Citibank's Global Head of Enterprise Technology and Cyber Risk. Other recent experience in his 22 year career includes the Deutsche Bank's CISO and Global Head of Information Security Operations, and the US Department of Homeland Security leading a national security program that focused on countering nation state threats.

An Engineer by trade, Brendan holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering and a Master of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering.
