Welcome to conscious, touch, eros, intimacy and healing events.
In our busy lives we constantly have our heads full of thoughts about what we need to get done, what we are going to do next, what we are going to become and what we should have done. Not only are we thinking of the past and the future constantly but among that we are burdened with analysing how well or poorly we performed at work, in social settings and in other aspects of our lives. Our brains take up so much of our daily fuel in thinking that we are very often left feeling completely drained and exhausted.
Breath and breathing correctly is one of the important aspects of well-being which is overlooked by other things such as diet and sleep which are equally important to our overall state.
My journey of conscious living and engaging in regular conscious dance events has heightened my realisation of going inwards and immersing fully into the body whilst stopping the mind from the constant chatter.
Being mindful means being more present and aware of what is around us - what we can see, hear, touch and taste. It is about learning to observe all this but not getting caught up in thinking or worrying. Mindfulness has been shown to help us be healthier, less affected by stress, more relaxed, more creative, more open to learning and hold better relationships.
Meditation comes in many different forms but the one that has been linked with the most amount of benefits is transcendental. Concentrating on breath is also a way to block out unnecessary thoughts and focus on the present.
Attending a gong bath is a mesmerising experience and one that should not be missed and my favourite is a conscious dance session; so many sessions to take advantage of in London.
