Beginner's Workshop! - $7.00 cover - Elkton, MD - VFW Tuesday Night Lessons!

TUESDAY, 2/17, Elkton VFW, BEGINNERS' COUNTRY WORKSHOP - starts an hour earlier at 6:00. One fee of $7 covers both the Beginners and the regular dance that will follow.

Our recent Beginners Workshops have been absolute successes with huge crowds. This amazing Begginer's Workshop to help beginner dancers really get started will be from 6:00-7:30

At 7:30 the regular weekly dance will start (and will run until 10 pm).

URGENT NOTE: SIGN-IN immediately as you enter the door. As a Fraternal Charity, the VFW is strictly "members only" and all guests MUST Please sign the Sign-In Logbook in order for the VFW to not get in trouble with the state auditors who require the Visitors Log to be enforced. Everyone, please follow this rule of the VFW. Thank you! (Also - DO NOT ENTER the rear glass doors directly into the Dance Hall. We must all enter the VFW via the bar entrance ONLY, and immediately Sign-In at the door.

Please say Thank You with an appropriate Tip every time you get food or drinks - You may not be aware, but the bartender and kitchen help are Volunteers at the VFW serving our Veterans and guests (like us) who come to the VFW - they don't get any pay whatsoever for their work, so your Tips are all they get.

• Order your food no later than 7:50 pm! The kitchen food service stops early, so you must put your order in by 7:50, so please do not complain if they tell you the kitchen is already closed. This has been a problem for the staff, so please Be Kind and cooperate.

Finally - please be patient and kind as the service can be slow especially when cooking burgers because they must be cooked all the way through! We really must be patient for our food orders to be delivered, as usually there is only one person working in the kitchen. If you order burgers, it takes a longer time than most other food orders, so 3-4 people who order behind you and don't order burgers will get their food before you. Let's all be mindful of being extra kind to the VFW Volunteers and help out. Thank you!!

The amazing dance instructor, DJ Jim Dawson will Teach or review at least 8 easier dances we all really need to know! Some of the dances taught will be Fireball, Rocket To the Sun, Country As Can Be, Outlaw and Boogie Shoes plus 2-3 others. If you're a beginner or just need a refresher on a lot of dances, then this Beginner's Workshop is for you. If you have 2 left feet don't worry, as our Instructor (DJ Jim Dawson) is the absolute BEST beginner's teacher you'll ever have! Jim is more than very patient. It's important that if you are a beginner, please be early, because we start with the easiest lessons from the start and then we build up from there. It'll be a great time so come + join in the fun.

Starting at 7:30 those who continue to dance will not have to pay any additional fee + we will have our regular dance with a mix of easy and more difficult, intermediate dances, like American Kids, Shivers and of course the hottest new one: You Look Like You Love Me!

No alcohol, liquids or food or powder for the floor is allowed to be brought in.
Cover Charge is $7.00 for dancing (free to sit and watch).
