In this talk, Jonathan & Pieter-Jan share how at Digital Pulse turned recurring client needs and internal experiments into public Craft CMS plugins - most notably Multi-Translator, now one of the top-paid plugins in the Craft ecosystem.
We'll walk through:

  • Why agencies like to build plugins in the first place - from developer growth to business visibility.
  • How we decide what to release publicly versus what stays internal.
  • The messy middle of versioning, pricing, and handling "community feedback" (the good, the bad, and the GitHub issues).
  • Lessons learned from developing and maintaining Multi-Translator: technical challenges, API quirks, and what we'd do differently.
