What we’re about
Welcome to Craftflix & Chill! Do you love to craft? Do you also love to watch movies while you craft? Then you have found your people. We are a group of craft enthusiasts who get together to enjoy our hobbies, watch a great movie, eat some snacks and perhaps do a little socializing. I'm sure your couch/chair is very very comfortable, but why not spend a few hours on a different couch/chair and share space with the best folks on the planet, CRAFTERS!
We meet the 3rd Saturday of the month from 6pm-9pm at Fairmount Community Library in Fort Worth. It's BYOC (bring your own craft) and BYOS (bring your own snacks - or, we'll have snack packs (soda, candy and popcorn) for a $5 donation
(this just covers the costs of the snacks, no one is making money off this gig).
18+ only please as some movies may be R rated. Please limit crafts to those that are portable and can be completed on your lap or with minimal space requirements - think knitting, crochet, hand sewing, embroidery, cross stich, english paper piecing....you get the idea.
Fairmount Community Library info can be found here (https://www.fairmountcommunitylibrary.org/). It's a great little non-profit (501 C3) community library that is 100% volunteer operated. They host a plethora of events and the library is free to all! Check them out!

Our lineup was "back to school" themed since it's that time of year - You voted and the results are in....Join us on September 20th for an evening of crafting and Accepted!
They're taking "fake it til you make it" to the next level. Sometimes things don't go as planned - and the pressure is real. Is starting a fake college really the "gateway to crime and meth labs"? I don't know, but I do know that the students of South Harmon Institute of Technology (S.H.I.T) make fake college look real fun. Craft along with us on this hilarious adventure, Steve Pink's directorial debut, as this group of outcasts and misfits thumb their noses at their parents "life after high school" expectations.
Bring your current work in progress and come hang out with us and watch this quirky, and let's be honest her, ridiculous, movie that has lived in my brain rent free since the early 2000's.
The movie will start around 6:30pm but we'll be there at 6pm to ooohhh and ahhhh over what everyone is making and grab a cozy spot to get settled in to.
Feel free to bring snacks! We will have snack trays available (includes a soda, box of candy and bag of popcorn) for a $5 donation (proceeds go to the library (non-profit 501(3)(C) facility).
Please be mindful of the shared space and bring a craft of choice that you can complete in your lap or with minimal extra space required.
