Possible ice breaker questions:
1. Name one aspect of the story/film that you could relate to.
2. What do you think worked well in this film?
3. If you were Cameron Crowe, what would you have done differently?

This choice is an experiment. First and second times I saw this movie, I absolutely loved it. Love Cameron Crowe's work. Watched it recently to determine whether to pick it for this group, and I still found affinity but one of the main characters struck me as quite annoying. Neverthless, I was surprised to learn that Elizabethtown was soundly trashed by most movie critics! So the experiment is this: Watch it and come back to discuss what worked and what didn't. Enjoy, but use your critic's eye ...

P.S. I still really like it.

This is the Rotten Tomatoes synopsis:
Aspiring young shoe designer Drew Baylor (Orlando Bloom) gets fired from his high-profile job after the failure of his latest project. To make matters worse, his girlfriend, Ellen (Jessica Biel), leaves him, and he becomes suicidal. Drew's morbid plans are interrupted by the news of his father's death, and he is called back to his Kentucky hometown. On his flight home, he meets the lovely Claire (Kirsten Dunst), a sunny flight attendant who tries to help him embrace life once again.
