Memorial Day Beach Day- Asbury Park Beach (a rain dependent event)

I know this is a month out and will totally be raining depending (if it rains, I will cancel).

Asbury Park is an hour away from the RT 1 entrance that's by the Neshaminy Mall. This is usually a no traffic on the way and back beach, so it'll be a very easy drive.

If you want to carpool, I can to take 2 people and their beach gear in my car. We can meet at the Neshaminy Mall at 9 and drive up from there.

I plan on sitting on the beach for a bit (I usually stay on the beach until about 12/1) and than walk around the board walk and into town after. Town is about a 5/10 minute walk from the boardwalk. There are plenty of places to eat on both the boardwalk and in town to grab some lunch.

I just wanted to give you guys a heads up, if you haven't been to Asbury Park, it's not the same as Wildwood/Ocean City and their board walks in the respect that it doesn't have they typical pizza/ice cream/arcade games type. They do have one vintage pinball arcade that sells cheap pizza and hot dogs, but they have more of a shopping and sit down restaurant type of vibe. Below is the info for the shops on the boardwalk. I just didn't want people to show up and expect a Wildwood boardwalk (which has happened to me before lol).

Beach Tags are $10 and parking varies on where you park. I usually park at the carousel parking lot at 700 Ocean Ave N, Asbury Park, NJ 07712. This is a paid lot, and is a flat fee cost between $20-$30 a day. There are metered parking, so if you don't plan to stay for a full day, below is the info for metered parking.
