Online services are essential to personal and professional life. But which of these tools can be relied upon to keep your work and communication safe? How private is "private"?

This talk covers the privacy implications and risks of popular online services (such as Slack or HipChat), explores the different philosophies these services have towards user data and privacy (e.g. zero-knowledge), and offers practical advice on making informed choices when assessing these applications.

PGP Key Signing Party! (Workshop 2.)

We are running a separate workshop this time for verifying and signing each other's PGP key!

Bring your PGP key (or it's fingerprint) along and we help verify each other's public key. Fun and a lot of signed keys will be guaranteed!

Pre-requisites: PGP software installed and a valid PGP key-pair

The topics which are covered in each session depend on what attendees are keen to learn. We normally tend to start off with a short presentation and then move to a hands-on part during which you will be able to get one-on-one help with electronic privacy tools.
