We’re a small group of expats living in Lille, from different parts of the world, and we’d love to share our cooking traditions with you!
Each time, we’ll explore a different cuisine, cook together, and enjoy the meal we made. It’s all about good food, fun conversations, and learning from each other.

Italian Kitchen Exchange: Homemade Pasta Dinner & New Friends
Gambetta Lille, Rue Manuel, Lille, FRThis time at Cultural Kitchen Exchange, we’re taking you to Italy for a cozy dinner – from starters to dessert, featuring traditional dishes with tender homemade pasta !
No workshop, no hard work – just come, enjoy freshly made authentic Italian food, and spend a cozy automn evening making new connections and friends.
We’ll kick things off with a fun icebreaker to help everyone feel comfortable, then we’ll share dinner together.
***Menu:
Starter: Tortino di patate with sun-dried tomatoes and cheese.
Main Course: Tortelli di erbetta – Herb and ricotta ravioli with delicate homemade pasta, prepared according to tradition.
Dessert: Chocolate mousse, light and fluffy.***
To wrap up the night, we’ll play a funny game, where you will become half Italian — and maybe win a prize!

Czech Kitchen Exchange: Bake Koláče, share Kulajda & meet new friends
Gambetta Lille, Rue Manuel, Lille, FRThis time at Cultural Kitchen Exchange, we’re taking you to Czechia for a cozy autumn evening — full of comforting flavors, laughter, and new friendships.
We’ll start with a welcome drink and a light icebreaker so everyone feels relaxed and connected. Then comes a taste of true Czech comfort — Kulajda, a creamy mushroom and dill soup that feels like a hug from a Czech grandmother’s kitchen.
Next, it’s your turn to create something delicious: join our Koláče Workshop, where you’ll make these traditional pastries filled with jam, poppy seed, or cheese. You’ll roll the dough, shape your koláče, bake them to golden perfection — and enjoy them warm from the oven!
To finish the evening, we’ll play a fun Czech pub quiz and share some of the country’s joyful music and traditions.
Expect laughter, discovery, new friends, and a few prizes too!

- Starter: Mrkvové jednohubky - a celery/carrot spread with bread
- Signature dish: Kulajda – creamy mushroom & dill soup.
