- A Morning Connection 2 of 4: with the earth, ourselves and each otherWhite Rock Trail Park, Plano, TX
How often do we neglect ourselves because there are so many distractions swarming around us? Our jobs, responsibilities, and problems consume us daily. Let's focus this summer on connection with the earth, ourselves, and each other. There is beauty in simplicity, in connecting to what truly matters.
Here's the plan:
I have scheduled this event for the next four weekends.
Each one will follow the same routine ....We'll start off with a grounding exercise that I love: a silent barefoot walk around the park, followed by a recorded Ho’oponopono session. We will then find a tree and spend some time receiving a bit more from nature. Finally, we'll join back together to share, with an optional brunch afterwards.
What to Bring:
- Sunscreen
- Bug Spray
- Blanket/Yoga Mat
- Water
**How to Find Us:
We've had a few issues with the map and address, so let's try this....- Click on the map for the exact location.
- If you follow the address link, continue down Channel Isle Dr past the elementary school on the left. You will see the pond.
- We'll meet at the bench and tables next to the pond, as shown in the photo.
- There's parking along the street by the pond.
What is Ho'oponopono?
Ho’oponopono is a traditional Hawaiian practice of reconciliation, forgiveness, and restoring harmony. The term itself comes from the Hawaiian words “ho’o,” meaning “to make” and “pono,” meaning “right.” Together, it translates roughly to “to make things right,” symbolizing its role in resolving conflicts and aligning individuals and communities with balance and well-being.
Originally designed as a communal practice to resolve conflicts and restore harmony within Hawaiian families, Ho’oponopono has since transcended geographic boundaries. Through a simple mantra—“I’m sorry, Please forgive me, Thank you, I love you”— one can clear negative emotions and energies, aligning themselves with a deeper sense of self-awareness and unity. - 4th of July!
