This Sunday: Walker's Choice! - Pot Lake Loop or BLT Rails-to-Trails

Details
This Sunday we offer two very distinct walking options!
Each week, members of our Dartmouth-based walking club come together on Sunday mornings to walk one of our local trails. New members are always welcome to join!
Please be sure to check the weather on the day (we walk in almost all conditions) and dress appropriately!
This Sunday, May 18, we will start as one group on on the BLT Rails to Trails route, but will soon part ways and head off in two quite different directions.
One group will undertake the spectacular Pot Lake Loop on the Bluffs Wilderness Trail. This is a 10 km hike on a challenging trail into the woods and up onto the Bluffs! The hike can take up to 3.5 hours, so bring lunch, snacks and water.
The other group will stay on the BLT Rails to Trails route, walking 3 kms out and then 3 kms back. This is a more moderate hike, with only gentle inclines and a more even, gravel surface. This is usually a 90 minute hike.
Assembly Point: 2890 St Margaret's Bay Rd Trail Head Parking lot. (A reminder that Sunday will be Bluenose Marathon Day in HRM, so be sure to check bridge and road closures beforehand.)
Time: Registration will start at 9:30 am and the hike leaves at 10:00
Fees: DWC members pay a $15 annual membership fee but there is no charge for newcomers!
