Talk 2
An Agentic & Conversational AI Framework for a Health Insurance Recommendation Tool
In this talk we’ll present a prototype for an AI life admin assistant we’ve started working on recently. Life admin is all about the boringly complex but important services we need in our lives, and health insurance is certainly one of those. Traditional health insurance comparison and recommendation services rely on human expertise to keep up with which insurance policies are available and then sift through the fine print to match consumer needs to complex product disclosure statements. This model presents cost and skill challenges. But now we have LLMs, agent-based architectures, and really powerful conversational chatbot frameworks. Our prototype puts these things together and is showing promising signs for a new AI digital assistant approach.

Predictive Models for Disease Risk - are we measuring the best health markers?
The UK Biobank is a data set of over 500,000 UK citizens who's health is being tracked. This talk will outline how models were built using this data to predict the likelihood you will get specific diseases in the next 10 years.
Topics discussed will include:

• Intro to UK Biobank and what type of data it includes
• Data quality - should we trust the data
• Algorithms - which ones work
• What are the health markers that will identify if our health is heading in the wrong direction?
• Will acting on these models save money and your life?

Finally we will demonstrate a tool developed that can be used to calculate your risk.

Phil is a Predictive Modelling and Advanced Analytics Consultant currently working with Voloridge Health. He has won numerous data science competitions including the $3 million Heritage Health Prize.
