Automated Optimization and Automated Machine Learning

Details
Whether you're deep into your data science journey or just starting to explore the space, this is your chance to learn, connect, and be inspired by impactful research and real-world applications.
We'll host:
π©βπ» Eva Tuba
Assistant Professr of Computer Science @ Trinity University, San Antonio, TX | recipient of the 2024 ACM Women Rising Star Award
She will share her rich technical and research experience on automated optimization and automated machine learning. The area covers interesting insights and know-how of approaches and techniques that can help AI and Data Engineers minimize unnecessary algorithm runs, reduce computational cost and handle various optimization problems.
About the speaker:
Eva is a researcher and ERA chair for the AutoLearn-SI project financed by the EU at Jozef Stefan Institute in Ljubljana; included in Stanford University list of 2% of the most influential scientists in the world in all disciplines for the contribution in the previous year (since 2020).
She is the author or coauthor of around 100 scientific papers, cited more than 4,100 times. Prof. Tuba is a member of the editorial board, scientific or technical committee of a number of scientific journals and international conferences. She is a member of IEEE (and IEEE Young Professionals), ACM (and ACM-W), AMS, SIAM and SCRS.
And what makes this meetup extra special and worth attending?
It is a space to learn from women leading the way in AI, ask questions, and find new inspiration. If you are familiar with the DATA_FAIR conference then you know - good vibes, great company and new friends.
This time our hosts will be the wonderful people of Kaldi π . A Slovenian product studio building technically challenging software products from discovery to scale.
Looking forward to meeting you all (again)! πββοΈ
