Meet "Business of sport" panelists:
Chris Gaffney, Moderator
Chris Gaffney is a Professor of Decision Sciences and MIS at Drexel University’s LeBow College of Business, specializing in sports analytics, operations research, and statistics. He is the founder of the Sports Analytics Research Institute and has published in leading journals such as IEEE Systems Journal and Annals of Operations Research.
Tanmay Patel
Tanmay Patel is VP of Business Data & Analytics for the Philadelphia Eagles, where he leads data-driven strategy and digital transformation initiatives. As a member of the Eagles’ AI Committee, he oversees governance and implementation of emerging technologies to enhance business performance and fan engagement.
Josh Barbieri
Josh Barbieri is Director of Business Analytics for the Philadelphia Phillies, where he leads data infrastructure, analytics, and strategy. He pioneered the club’s business intelligence capabilities and built its enterprise data warehouse, enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Anthony Brock
Anthony Brock is Vice President of Business Strategy & Analytics at Comcast Spectacor, supporting the Philadelphia Flyers and Wells Fargo Center. He focuses on leveraging analytics, AI, and customer insights to drive business growth and enhance the fan experience.
Kyle Mathiot
Kyle Mathiot is SVP of Technology & Analytics for the Philadelphia Union, leading business intelligence, IT operations, and AI governance. He focuses on transforming fan and ticketing data into strategic insights that drive growth and deepen fan engagement.
Stephen Dolan
Stephen Dolan is Director of Data Analytics at Aramark Sports + Entertainment, where he leads analytics across pricing, strategy, and predictive modeling. He brings over a decade of experience helping sports and entertainment organizations make data-driven decisions.

Ivana Šerić, Moderator
Ivana Šerić is a Senior Product Scientist at Teamworks, specializing in sports analytics and product development. Previously a Lead Data Scientist for the Philadelphia 76ers, she focuses on translating complex data into actionable insights that inform basketball strategy and decision-making.
Patrick McFarlane
Patrick McFarlane is Director of Predictive Modeling for the Philadelphia Phillies, where he leads the development of player performance forecasts and their application to strategic decision-making. His background spans sports, aviation, finance, and consulting, with a focus on data-driven performance optimization.
Addison Hunsicker
Addison Hunsicker is a Data Scientist with the Philadelphia Union, working across all aspects of soccer analytics, including player recruitment, match analysis, and salary cap strategy. He also leads the development of the club’s data infrastructure to support analytics and AI initiatives.
