Urban Hike: "The Neighborhoods" THE LOVELAND CASTLE

Let's get together and explore the unique neighborhoods and areas Dayton had to offer!

LET'S GO TO THE LOVELAND CASTLE! YOU DON'T WANT TO MISS THIS!

No it's not an Urban Hike, no it's not a neighborhood in the Dayton area. Let's take a day trip.

The Castle was built by one man, Harry Andrews, at least 95% of it anyway.

He began building it in 1929 and he passed away at age 91 in 1981. see link below.

It opens at 11 am. $5 entry fee.

I may try and see if there are any trails nearby so wear or bring shoes for that, poles etc.

You can either drive yourself, and meet there at the castle, or I will meet you at the Kroger Marketplace on St. Rt 48 aka S. Main Street in Centerville at 9:45am. Departure at 10:00am. We can car pool or follow me. I will avoid highways and it takes about 47 minutes from Kroger's.

The grounds are so beautiful! When I was there in April an employee said to bring a lunch and enjoy the beautiful flowers and the Little Miami River view. So bring a lunch!

I'm posting this early as many of you are quickly getting booked to do things all summer long.

I highly recommend this. We will just linger around the grounds and the castle as there is a lot to take in and be in awe of what Mr. Anderson did.
